Enjoy your candle safely

Treat your candle with care and love by following a few simple instructions and safety precautions. This will ensure that you get the very best from your candle, each and every time that you use them.

Burning instructions

  • Before lighting your candle ensure that it is placed on a level and heat-resistant tray or plate, to collect any dripping wax.
  • Before lighting your candle trim the wick to 5mm.
  • Burn your candle for at least 1 hour, in order to create a melt pool, and do not burn for more than 3 hours at a time.
  • If burning multiple candles, place them at least 10cm apart.
  • Keep your candle free from any foreign materials, this includes wick trimmings and matches.
  • Before re-lighting candle always trim wick to 5mm with a pair of sharp scissors or a wick trimmer.
  • Do not burn candle all the way to its base, leaving at least 1cm from base during last burn of the candles life.

Extinguishing your candle

Ideally you would use a snuffer to extinguish your candle, however due to the design of our candles - you will find that a tunnel is burnt through the middle of the candle. This will make it difficult to use a snuffer after a couple of burns. As such please take care when blowing out the candle, to avoid any splatter from liquid wax.

Candle safety

To prevent fire and serious injury ALWAYS burn your candle within sight. Avoid draughts, vibrations and keep out of the reach of children and pets. Never burn your candle on a delicate or non heat-resistant surface, or near anything that can catch fire.
